CLASS 1: Hands-Only CPR
This introductory course is designed to cover the basics of Hands-Only CPR using compressions to provide critical, life-saving, support for adults experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. Participants will receive a unique coupon upon completion allowing sign-up for Class 2 depending on individual interest and desired level of certification.
Audience: Designed for anyone interested in achieving a basic level of life-saving knowledge to help when someone is in sudden cardiac arrest.
Course Card: Upon successful completion students will receive a UC Davis Fire Department course completion card and link to refresher training.
CLASS 2: HeartSaver AED Certification and Stop the Bleed Certification
This certification course is designed to prepare students to provide CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) use in a safe, timely and effective manner for adults, children and infants. This course also teaches Stop the Bleed, a class created by the American College of Surgeons and teaches the basics of identifying and treating life-threatening bleeding using tourniquets, wound packing and pressure dressings. Participants will a unique coupon upon completion allowing sign-up for Class 3 depending on individual interest and desired level of certification.
Audience: Anyone who has successfully completed Class 1.
Course Card: Upon successful completion students will receive an American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR AED eCard certification valid for 2 years. Upon successful completion, students will also receive STOP THE BLEED® Course completion card.
CLASS 3: First Aid Certification
This First Aid course teaches critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until First Responders take over.
Audience: Anyone who has completed Class 1 and 2.
Course Card: Upon successful completion, students will receive an American Heart Association HeartSaver First Aid eCard certification valid for 2 years.
