Beyond the Fire Truck: A Cause That Matters

When you vote for UC Davis in the Fire Truck Face-Off, you're not just backing an impressive rig—you’re directly supporting firefighters and burn survivors in our community.

The Firefighters Burn Institute was founded in 1973 by Sacramento firefighters to establish a dedicated burn treatment facility. Their partnership with UC Davis Medical Center led to the opening of the Regional Burn Center, now a leader in burn care and recovery.

Today, Firefighters Burn Institute continues to support firefighters injured in the line of duty, along with other burn survivors, by funding treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery programs. Their work ensures that those who risk their lives to protect others get the care they deserve.

If UC Davis wins the Fire Truck Face-Off, a donation will be made to Firefighters Burn Institute, furthering their mission to provide life-changing care and support. Every vote counts—choose UC Davis and help make an impact beyond the firehouse.
