Narcan at UC Davis: What You Need to Know
Opioid overdoses can happen to anyone. See how Narcan can help and where to find it on campus
Opioid overdoses can happen unexpectedly, whether from prescription medications, street drugs, or accidental exposure. In a crisis, quick action can save a life.
To make that possible, the UC Davis Fire Department has expanded access to Narcan, a fast-acting nasal spray that can reverse opioid overdoses. Narcan is now available for free at four key locations on campus:
Memorial Union: Inside the east entrance, next to the information desk.
Shields Library: In the 24-hour study room.
Student Community Center: Inside the north entrance.
Activities and Recreation Center: In the ARC study lounge.
Narcan is safe, easy to use, and doesn’t require any medical training. Even if you’re unsure whether someone is overdosing, using Narcan will not cause harm.
