Who can sign up?
Our private group CPR course for staff is available for all UC Davis colleges, units, departments and offices. If you are an individual looking to take a class you will need to sign-up under one of our recurring open-enrollment offerings on the CPR webpage.
Cost and Time Commitment
We offer in-person and hybrid model classes, both of which are the same cost. Class sizes of more than 32 students will have to be divided into multiple classes and taught separately.
In-person training will take approximately 4-6 hours depending on the course selected. The hybrid option consists of online training to be completed on your own time and an in-person skill test which takes 3 hours.
HeartSaver CPR/AED
3.5 hours of instruction, ½ hour needed for both setup and takedown
- 8-16 people = $75 per person
- 17-24 people = $61 per person
- 25-32 people = $56 per person
HeartSaver CPR/AED & First Aid
5.5 hours of instruction, ½ hour needed for both setup and takedown, plus ½ hour for a lunch break
- 8-16 people = $99 per person
- 17-24 people = $75 per person
- 25-32 people = $68 per person
BLS Provider
5 hours of instruction, ½ hour needed for both setup and takedown
- 8-16 people = $75 per person
- 17-24 people = $61 per person
- 25-32 people = $56 per person
Requirements
Your department will need to provide:
- A classroom with open space big enough to accommodate the size of the class
- AV equipment that includes DVD player, Projector, and speaker
Each student will receive the following:
- American Heart Association Certification
- American College of Surgeons Stop the Bleed certification
- Stop the Bleed course book
