COVID-19 Safety
-
Our program falls within the purview of UC Davis; the campus policy requires COVID-19 vaccination, with few exceptions.
More information can be found here: https://campusready.ucdavis.edu/covid-vaccination.
In addition, it is the policy of our ambulance-based clinical partners that all students participating in ambulance ride-a-longs be vaccinated. Those not vaccinated, regardless of exemption status, will be ineligible to participate in observation with our ambulance providers.
To identify COVID-19 cases, UC Davis is establishing a rapid, comprehensive screening and testing program on campus. Screening symptom-free students and employees will help better identify COVID-19 and track cases on campus.
- All non-vaccinated students will be required to get a saliva Covid test every four days (twice a week) and provide proof of a negative test prior to attending the in-person class session.
- UC Davis students must log in to the Health-e-Messaging Portal to make an appointment for asymptomatic COVID-19 testing.
- Non-UC Davis can get tested for free through Healthy Davis Together, https://healthydavistogether.org/testing/. Testing is by appointment only, with 500 tests per day. Appointments can be made by registering on the Healthy Davis Together site. Use “davis” when prompted for the agency code.
- The saliva testing is only for individuals who do not have symptoms. If you have COVID-19 symptoms, contact Student Health and Counseling Services, or your doctor.
- All students will be asked to complete a daily symptom survey prior to entering into any campus building.
- All students are required to wear a mask for in class activities regardless of vaccination status.
