Fundamentally reimagining how we care for our community - to prevent crisis whenever possible.
Health 34 is reimagining how UC Davis delivers compassion, to where you are, when you need it.
When you have an emergency, call 911 - for almost every other struggle or minor injury/illness, Health 34 can come to you. We're reimagining compassion on the Davis Campus to prevent crises and help you navigate recovery after one does.
Our campus community has a growing need for access to non-emergency mental health and wellness, beyond what is offered in a traditional clinical setting.
Centering Change and Wellbeing
Health 34 hopes to increase community trust, especially with underrepresented and historically marginalized communities. Our efforts can reduce barriers to accessing care by delivering help to those who seek it, wherever they are, and providing service navigation and case follow-up to make sure you get what you need.
Lightening the Load
Health 34 takes non-emergency calls for issues that, if left unaddressed or supported, could lead to a trip to the emergency room.
Health 34 focuses on preventative care and harm reduction, and a compassionate approach to crisis prevention, which creates a safer, more resilient, and healthier community.
Turning Plans Into Actions
The mission of Health 34 supports the university's commitment to reform public safety on campus. Both ASUCD and the Next Generation Campus Safety Task Force called for new approaches to crisis intervention and mental health support among first responders on campus.
