UC Davis Fire Dept. has for years offered courses that build on foundations for lifesaving skills for healthcare professionals.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
The PALS Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills.
Audience: For healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response
Course Card: Upon successful completion, students will receive an AHA ACLS provider eCard valid for 2 years.
Time: Full in-person -16 hours, hybrid – 8 hours online and 8 hours in-person
